Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for WordPress plugins.
  • Design and maintain test cases and test plans for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues using bug tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality plugin releases.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure testability and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure compatibility of plugins with various WordPress themes and versions through automated testing.
  • Provide detailed reports on test results and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Technical Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, PHPUnit).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PHP).
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and GitHub/Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of WordPress architecture, hooks, and filters.
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases for test data management.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON for API testing.
