Job Responsibilities
Network Administration:
- Manage and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices to support the company’s operations.
Server Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, both physical and virtual, to support business applications and services.
- Perform routine server monitoring and ensure system reliability and security.
User Account Management:
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring proper authentication and authorization for employees across the organization.
Backup and Recovery:
- Implement and manage data backup solutions to prevent data loss, and establish recovery procedures to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
Security Maintenance:
- Implement and enforce security policies, including firewall configurations, conduct regular security audits, and install security patches to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure from cyber threats.
Firewall Configuration:
- Configure and manage firewall settings to control and monitor network traffic, ensuring that only authorized and secure communication is allowed.
- Regularly update firewall rules to adapt to changing security needs and potential threats.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, including firewall-related concerns.
Email System Administration:
- Manage and administer email systems, ensuring reliable and secure communication within the organization. Implement spam filters and other security measures to protect email accounts.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge transfer and future reference.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations and standards. Implement necessary measures to meet data protection and privacy requirements.
Hardware Support:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues for servers, workstations, and other IT equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on hardware components to prevent failures and optimize performance.
